Tarry lodge revisited

In yesterday's journal news they reported that new Batali/Bastianch venture will be called The Tarry Lodge . Its planned opening is September and its going to be a combination of Mozza their venture with Nancy Silverton in LA and Otto in NY.

Its going to blow Nessa out of the water. Now I won't have to go all the way to Otto to get my bastianch wine fix!!!!

I have been very impatiently watching them rehab the old Tarry Lodge - just wonder what they are going to do about parking. I also think that the food will not be similar to nessa as they are not really in the same ballpark - we LOVE LOVE LOVE nessa and it is a great addition to the area (just my ten cents) - plus you just know trying to get in to TL will be a pain in the tush.

my guess on parking is valet, municipa; lot 1/2 block away, is pass the place often, their doing interior work now, i agree i like nessa also, but if this tary lodge is supposed to be like mozza, nessa is much more basic on comparison

I get the sense that TL will be all about the pizza, which gives it something that Nessa doesn't have. I too was a bit concerned that it might cause Nessa a few problems, but I agree with KarenNYC that it's going to be pitched at a very different experience. And, yeah... good luck getting that 8pm Saturday reservation at TL...

i stated that, about it being called the tarry lodge, months ago. you must really dislike nessa.
