Low key rehearsal dinner in Napa
The bulk of our budget is going into the reception.....so splurging the night before is not really an option. Truthfully, shut down Taylor's Automatic Refresher for a night, and I'd be down with that.
American or Asian food preferred, but not required. The more relaxed (but not a bar scene) the better. I'm not going to be picky, since Napa is dominated by high end New American or French. The crowd is primarily thirty-somethings who are modest in their taste, but know what good food should taste like.
20 -25 guests total.
I've got a couple of months left to go. Thanks for any suggestions.
Hey there - curious - did you end up doing Taylor's for your rehearsal dinner? Such a great idea - I'm in the same boat as you with the reception :-)

Check out Zins Valley - they have a private room that can accommodate up to 40 and they are one of the best hidden treats in the valley.

We tried to set something up with Taylor's but it has not worked so far. The only way in which you might be able to use them for a rehearsal is if it's on Friday night. They said they could not accommodate us on Saturday because they are too busy. They also said that we would have to order in groups, so your guests might not get fed at the same time.
We were really excited about the idea of using them as well, but it's posing to be really complicated...
