simple shrimp dishes?

I must be craving iodine or pollutants or something, but I swear i've been dreaming about scrumptious shrimp dishes. Unfortunately I have no idea where to go...

having to shell shrimp makes me mad
i'm not a big fan of uber-garlicky spanish tapas style shrimp

perhaps you have some suggestions for simple shrimp dishes?
my dear friend broils some lovely garlic shrimp (Italian style) that I love. and oh, what I wouldn't give for a big skewer of jumbo grilled shrimp. a worth-the-price shrimp cocktail might even do it.

I work in midtown and live in brooklyn (downtown/park slope accessible). Help!
