Chow Foon

Someone on the board recommend Katin in Super 88 Food Court a while back for chow foon. Finally got there and I wish i remembered who to thank, because it was very good chow foon! also shared pickled vegetables with beef in black bean sauce and was very happy. we've tried the Pho place and Katin so far, and are going to explore the Korean and Thai places next. Great value and good food.

I would be at least one of the ones to thank, because the chow foon at Kantin is a dish I recommend regularly here.

Be warned that the Thai and Korean places at the Super 88 food court are nothing special: certainly not up to the level of PhoViet and Kantin, anyway.

funny i never found phoviet to be special myself. I got pho there a few times and didnt think it was nearly as good as the places i normally frequent. Kantin is very good though.

But MC Slim JB and I are both on record as proclaiming the grilled beef banh mi at PhoViet the single greatest sandwich in the city. Tell you the truth, I don't think I've ever even had the pho there -- I'm more of a bun man.
