"The Rusticator," Oakland House, Brooksville ME: anyone been lately?
Haven't been yet, but I can tell you the executive chef is Rich Hanson of Cleonice, but it's actually his nephew, Jeremy, who will be in the kitchen day to day cooking. His nephew did cook with him at Cleonice for years. Theory on the restaurant is "of the place and of the time" which means traditional foods for Maine summer coast resort. Plan is to take old fashioned recipes and update them for contemporary palates. Emphasis will be on sourcing locally.
