Need help for Sacramento Restaurant Recs
Hi all Chowhounds,
I need to organize a company dinner in Sacramento for a group of foodies (we are in the industry so I mean real food people) in July. I need a place that is relaxed but with awesome food, no ethnic, for about 15people. We are trying to keep it to a place that is less than $30 per entree since the boss is paying the bill. We tried to get into Waterboy but they don't recommend for their size locale. Help? Any suggestions appreciated!

That is a tough request. All the awesome, non ethnic places will be more than $30 pp. The Kitchen and Hawks will impress most, but are expensive. Paragary's or one of the Bistro 33 restaurants could excel with the price point and groups, but may not impress a group of foodies.

Cafe Bernardo at 28th and Capitol. It is owned by the Paragary Group and they have the same purveyors as Spataro's, Paragary's Bar & Oven, and Esquire Grill. They also have a banquet room there. I'd check em out for sure. Spataro's also has a nice banquet room..but not sure you could do dinner for 30.
Plan B in Sac also has fabulous food...they are moving though and not sure when.

Check out Enotria, http://www.enotria.com/restaurant.htm. It immediately came to mind as I read your post.
