Morels in Seattle?

Anyone know if Pike Place Market or other farmer's markets have them?

in response to the original query, sosio's produce in the market (home of the OMG peaches later in the year) currently has small morels at an obscene price. on sundays, there is a fellow who specializes in mushrooms set up on the west side of the north arcade.

I've actually heard it's a bad year for them. That's probably why they're small and expensive.

Foraged and Found will have them while they're to be had, and Sosio's in Pike Place is another place to find them.

They are right out there for the picking and very easy to ID. Just head a little east of the Pass. Pickin's good this year I hear.

Saw them at Ballard about two weeks ago. Lots of them and lots of porcini in two price levels..............

I've seen them at the Ballard Farmer's Market (at the foraged & found booth) for approx $20/lb.; they've also been at Town & Country markets (like Ballard Market, etc.). Seeind them there would lead me to believe they are also at Pike Place, but I haven't been in the last couple of weeks, so I can't confirm that!

I have seen them at Ballard. Very small early ones. I didn't try them, i was too focused on the wild porcinis.
