Anyone Been to Maria's Family Restaurant in Haverhill?
Does anyone know anything about this restaurant? The atmosphere looks very nice, but I can't find many reviews on the place (and Chowhound seems to have nothing on it).

Not exactly a hidden gem if that's what you're hoping for....I wish....grown up in Haverhill, Maria's has been there for a long time. Greek-style restaurant offering good, simple meat & potatoes. Nothing fancy or expensive. Nothing to write home about but it's reliable.

Strange that I never heard about this place before, especially since I know several people from Haverhill and they never mentioned it.
I really need to get to Haverhill one of these days to check out some of their restaurants. Any other places I should be checking out?

YES....Keon's, The Tap, George's, Bistro 45 & of course Evenfall & The Peddler's Daughter as the best of the bunch in Haverhill IMO.
Maria's is one of those old stand bys if you live in the area, but not surprised it would be left out of foodie conversation.

Some good ideas. Have to disagree re. Peddlar's Daughter. Haven't had a good meal there in a year or so. The best thing to order is the fish & chips.
Coming into downtown on River St. is the Mexican place -- Tacos Lupita? Gosh, I'm blanking on the name. There are a couple of them scattered about. Good stuff.
