Richmond Where to Celebrate w/ Kids?

Looking for advise on a nice place to book a reservation for a party of (8) adults and (6) kids (under 5 yrs old) to eat in Downtown/Shockoe/Fan/Carytown area. It's a celebration dinner for a graduation. Would like to make it memorable and nice, interesting food but nothing too spicey, vegetarian friendly, business casual dress, $15 - $20 / head.

I just had one of the most all around satisfying meals I've had in awhile at Lulus. It's right across from the downtown farmer's market. It's run by same people that own Millie's Diner, another of my favs. All kinds of dishes. Fabulous desserts. Reasonably priced. Comfort is another fun spot, but I think Lulu's food is better.

Thanks for the suggestions. Kitchen 64 was great! They were very accommodating. Some members of our group were over an hour late and no worries. They were happy to keep the bloody marys flowing, and they were delicious. i highly recommend any of the eggs bennies - quite satisfying. i did think the sandwhiches were lackluster though. would definitely go back for dinner when back in town.

Thanks everyone. My first pick was going to be Cous Cous, but I was told they aren't open until 5 on Saturday. They didn't seam to mind the party dynamics, but were concerned about the lack of a children's menu.

We've made reservations at Kitchen 64. They seamed a bit put off to make a reservation for only 14. The hostess said they don't typically make reservations for less than 15, but said that she'd make an exception since it's for 11:30am on a saturday - not a busy time. The reservation came with a stern warning about having all members of the party show up at the same time otherwise subjecting us to whatever the wait would be. I understand business, but I'm a bit concerned hoping the service doesn't come with the same attitude.
I've never been to Strawberry st cafe but have always been told it is overated. Thought Edo's would be good since I've always loved going to Mama Zu's when I lived down that way, but I don't want to deal with the look on my mother-in-law's face as we climb above Stuffy's.

hope it's good - and let us know - for those of us with 2 under 5 (actually one is 5 but still!) ourselves.

Kitchen 64 on Boulevard is very family friendly with a versatile menu.

I've never been but friends who've taken kids (under 5 as well) there have liked it. Sine' has rooms you can book and kids menus. Not super food but...
I've had a hard time finding places in that area you can take little ones.

I've never had little ones to take (I was laughing yesterday when I was reading the thread thinking I've never had a meal with multiple kids under 5). I think Kitchen 64 is a good suggestion also.

i love my kids but lucky you - they can ruin a dining out experience! :)

The 6 kids under 5 is a real challenge for me, but the first place that comes to mind is Strawberry Street Cafe in the Fan and secondly Edo's Squid (which is family style for parties of 5 or more...great pasta, seafood and veal) at Harrison and Grace.
