re: bgut1
bgut1, I recall recommending SH Terrace to RGR myself once or twice so when I saw her recommend it to the OP I was "hoping" she had taken a leap of faith.
Both you & RGR provided me the same reply last time a brunch thread came up regarding SH Terrace.
I happen to agree with you bgut1. I've enjoyed the SH brunch several times.

re: HillJ
HillJ,
Note that I listed the restaurants in my first post without any comments. That's usually a clue that I've not tried them so am making suggestions rather than recommendations. There is a difference. The fact is, we haven't been to Verjus or Epernay for brunch/lunch either though we have had dinner at both but not recently (in Epernay's case, not since the change in ownership). .

re: HillJ
HillJ,
No, We've never been to The Terrace, only to the now defunct Dining Room (which was, btw, wonderful). As I've mentioned previously on this board, we never do brunch in NJ, only in NYC. When we do it there, we don't order breakfast foods, only lunch dishes. And we never do buffets because I dislike them. When we dine out, I want to sit at a table and be served.
Hey, bgut,
I figured you'd jump in because I know you've been there and really like it.
