I asked about this place over on the beer board since it's supposedly a Belgian beer bar with those type beers and authentic Belgian food, and got no response.
Has anyone here been there and if so how was it?

If you like Belgian beer, they have decent selection on tap. The food is more along the lines of standard pub fare. Since I've only been to Belgium once and that was many years ago, I don't recall anything on the menu being "authentic Belgian food," whatever that may be. The pub grub, however, was decent if not overly memorable. Also, I thought that the ambience was more like a cafe than a pub. Since I'm not a big fan of Belgian beer, I only went once. But if you do like the Belgians, you'll probably find this place to be worthwhile.

I really enjoyed the Cheeky Monk. I am more of a wine drinker, but a trip to Belgium a couple of years ago made me fall in love with their beers. The Royal Hilltop owners opened this spot, so they have their fried pickles on the menu (which reminds me more of Texas than Brussels, but it's still good pub grub). It's not much on atmosphere, but if you're going to a show at the Fillmore or Ogden it's a perfect place to stop in. They serve Kwak in the funky round-bottomed glass with the wood holder just like you get in Belgium. They have two samplers you can order. Out of one, I discovered a sour cherry-tasting beer that I loved and subsequently found on the shelves at DaveCo: Duchesse de Bourgogne. They have mussels and frites with flavored aiolis, of course. Won't knock your socks off, but you need something to soak up the alcohol.

I love lambic beers, including Kriek, yum.

Do you remember whether they have Carbonnade de Flamande on the menu? It's one of my favorite Belgian dishes (along with the mussels) and I'd definitely make a trip just for that.

Duchesse is a Flemish Red Ale, so it's not exactly like a Lindeman's Kriek, for example, but I definitely pick up a sour cherry flavor.

I don't recall Carbonnade de Flamande on the menu, but then I don't think the food is particularly intended to be "authentic" so much as a foil for the brews. Don't go there expecting Comme Chez Soi, in other words. :-)

There are many better places to get mussels in town. My bowl had a few closed ones, but at least none of them were gritty. We tried a few of the aiolis. I would've liked the curry one to be more assertive.
