Indian restaurant on Devon for work group?

Hi all, I find it funny to be asking this seeing as I am Indian myself, but I need help choosing a restaurant on Devon. I am coordinating a group of 6-10 (non-Indian) colleagues who want to go there for some Indian food. They are all fairly adventurous eaters. Since it is a work occasion I'd like as nice an ambience as possible, as well as a bar or drink service, without sacrificing the quality of the food. I eat home cooked mostly, and only go to Devon to eat for the occasional Udupi, Ghareeb Nawaz, or chat, so cannot speak from experience here. Any ideas?

  1. The newly remodeled Viceroy of India will surely impress! I just took my Indian-American friend from Carola, India there on Sunday. He loved it! You will not be disapointed. It's far better than Tiffin!

I second Amocanda's recommendation... Viceroy of India has the best food on Devon, and it's very reasonably priced... If you go at lunchtime, the buffet can't be beat in terms of quality...They have a full-service bar as well with a selection of Indian beers...many rave about Tiffin, but I have never been all that impressed

    2. Tiffin is my favorite to take those who are less familiar with Indian. I live a couple of blocks north and eat on Devon a lot. Tiffin has both North and South Indian cuisine, so there are both the staples most are familiar with, and the more interesting southern food. Also it is very upscale looking, and beautifully lit with a tasteful mural on the ceiling. Many restaurants are lit with too much flourescent light and feel like a bus station.
