favorite restaurant on the UWS?

OK- I know it is a bit of a trick question- who wants to admit to having a favorite on the UWS...But we live here- and have a young child so I like to eat out in the neighborhood (without her) and I hate paying the sitter for my travel time downtown if we just want to have a nice dinner and a movie.
SO please- let me know what your favorite restaurant on the UWS is- so that I can stop going to the same 4 places- thanks.

Go north a little and you'll hit some more spots.
Neptune Room for seafood, Gennaro's for some Italian/Pasta, Ouest for the prix fixe (if you want to eat early), Dovetail (Sunday is a steal), Mitchell London at Fairway Cafe (good steak, best pancakes on the UWS), Spiga (suprisingly good), Earthen Oven, Zeytin and Pasha.

good suggestions so far. i'd also add gabriella's (moderate), ouest (expensive), 81 / eighty one (expensive), thai market (inexpensive), and compass (expensive).

other places that many ppl like:

        'cesca (italian, expensive)
        northwest ("temporarily closed", evidently)
        isabella's
        josie's
