I will be in Bologna on a Monday afternoon. I am looking for some interesting food shops to go to. I have heard of Tamburini. What are some others? Are they all around the same area? Thanks for your help

The Mercato delle Erbe is at Via Ugo Bassi, 27.

East of Piazza Maggiore, that's left as you face the Basilica di San Petronio, is where you'll find Tamburini, as well as other food shops.

Be sure to do a "Search this board" search for Bologna. There have been a number of posts about Bologna here over the past 3-6 months that you should be able to access by doing a search. In fact, if you scroll down, you should find a thread re:Tamburini and other delis made within the past 2-4 days.

Avoid Tamburini, or just take pictures there. Simoni nearby is far better and better still is La Salumeria Franco e Bruno in Via Oberdan.
