SD Restaurant Week choices

  • 9

So I made a reservation at the Marine Room for restaurant week. But I read on here that they may be continuing their RW menu for the rest of the year. If that is the case I guess I could go any time.

The other options I was considering are Bertrand@Mister A's, and Laurel.

What would be the best of the options I listed. Or is there something I haven't listed that I absolutely have to try. I'm trying to stay south of La Jolla.

Thanks!

I had a nice time at 1500 Ocean during the last round in January. I felt like it was good value and worth it during RW.

    2. The marine room has extended the restaurant week package (from rr week #1 earlier in the year), as have a couple of others I believe. It is a pretty smart marketing strategy to bring more people in during the rest of the year during the progressively worse economic times and I hear it is working, at least for the Marine Room.

Ok, so Laurel or Bertrand@MisterA's? I'll do Marine Room later.

Bertrand at Mister A's is always a great choice. I haven't had a chance to look at their menu yet, but I am sure you wont regret going there.

Both are good, but Mister A's has that killer view.....

Bertrand - it's more expensive at regular price, the view is killer and the food is more refined.

we went to Bertrand's for the last R.W., and it was top notch. The service was also excellent, and we didn't get the snobbish attitude that some places give the Restaurant Week-rs

            2. We haven't been to Marine Room in years so we are going to check it out. Might try Tapanade as well, haven't been there before.

              1. I'd rec Indigo Grill in Little Italy. They did right by me the last Restaurant Week. It was PACKED, so make a reservation. Also, how in the WORLD did Rockin' Baja Lobster get on the list of restaurants? Did Dick's Last resort pull out at the 11th hour? Sheesh.
