Lunch around 13th & F NW - suggestions?
Any thoughts on what's good to try? I'm meeting a business associate/friend for lunch, so I'd like something above Pot Belly, Corner Bakery, but not something that will break the bank. I was thinking Brasserie Beck; I know, it's pricey.
Thanks much.

Metro Center!
Tosca (southside of F btw 11 and 12) (I think they're open for lunch) - Italian
Oceanaire (northside of F between and 12 and 13) - Seafood
Butterfield 9 (NW corner of 14th and G) - New American?
Ceiba (NE corner of 14th and G) - Pan-LatinAlso close by, but I haven't been to Finemondo (italian) and M&S Grill (chain food) (F street btwn 13 and 14)
Penn Quarter/Gallery Place is close by - although in this heat....

Brasserie Beck is a great idea! It probably wouldn't be as pricey for lunch as it would be for dinner (and even then I think its solidly in the moderate price-range.)
Old Ebbitt Grill isn't to far off from there.
You are also walking distance to some of the restaurants in Penn Quarter/Gallery Place/Chinatown. Perhaps tapas at Jaleo or Zaytinya. You can try yummy nuevo latino cuisine at Cafe Atlantico. Or mini-burgers or pizza at Matchbox. All are perfectly affordable for lunch.
