I'm interested in getting the names of good cafe markets throughout LA - places along the lines of Joan's on Third - thanks.

Clementine's in Century City might be a bit more like Joan's On Third.
And a bit different, Monsier Marcel at the Farmers Market. Interesting wine and food shop.....fun outdoor cafe, with great people watching.

Surfa's in Culver City and, in a different way, La Espanola in Wilmington.

I'd recommend going to La Espanola on Saturday for the paella. Get an order of that along with a bottle of wine, sit at the patio area on the side of the building and you may even catch friends and family of the owners singing and having a great time...
