Can I freeze chimichurri sauce or r/o
I make homemade pesto in large batches and freeze in single serve plastic containers which I defrost in the fridge or on the counter. I use the pesto for pasta, dips, topping for fish/scallops, etc. I've kept homemade pesto in the fridge for 4-5 days and it's been fine.
Today I made an interesting ranch type dip for crudites by mixing a couple of tablespoons of leftover pesto with a few spoons of mayo which I thinned with fresh lemon juice. I also added some fresh ground pepper and a pinch of salt. I bet you could could do something similar with your chimichurri sauce.
