Bairrada Churrasqueira

Has anyone been to Bairrada Churrasqueira recently on College or on St. Clair. I've been to the one in Mississauga which I love but its a bit far. Let me know your experiences. We love the seafood platter and it's our wedding anniversary. Any other suggestions?

I've been to the St. Clair location recently, for the half-chicken dinner (take-out). Absolutely delicious and quite filling for two. Not to mention for $9.00 flat....you really can't go wrong!

Actually the last time I went to the Mississauga location it was at night, and the guy behind the counter already put all the chicken into the fridge.. I ordered a half chicken dinner and it came out microwaved and dry as hell

Needless to say I've never returned, if your ever in the Brampton area I encourage you to try Nova Esperanca instead: www.portuguese-chicken.com

I've been to the one on College. The food is good, well-priced and the patio is nice. Warning, though, the service can be slow, be assertive with getting the server's attention.

Yes, I agree with childofthestorm. If you are seeking an awesome summer patio, this is the place to go. Its the perfect setting for a summer meal - sangira, sunshine, garden setting. The food is nothing special though, and I too would only return for the scene.

Just went for the first time on Friday night (it's at 1000 College, btw). The backyard patio is fantastic. I wasn't overwhelmed by the food (grilled chicken, sorry we all had the same thing so no detail in this report) but it was well-cooked and tasty...the rice below the chicken was sublimely greasy. But basically, it's all about the backyard, sitting at picnic tables in a garden-like setting. Quite unique in Toronto, the closest analogous patio experience for me is probably Allen's on the Danforth, but with the obvious difference of an Irish/NY-styled environment versus a Portuguese one. And the picnic tables!

I doubt I would go to Bairrada if I couldn't sit outside.
