  1. To minimize the potential for the soggy crust we experienced on our first trip to Cibo, we ordered one of their white pizzas ("Salsiccia con Patate") on a recent visit. It had a little more cheese than I was expecting, but still pretty tasty overall. I especially like the sausage they used.

    My favorite local "non-red" pizza was the oh-so-decadent pesto pie at Pizza Town (RIP) in Tempe.

    1. Funny you should mention this. I was just reading Seth Chadwick's blog and he mentioned a delicious white pizza at Ninetta's Passion Bistro.

      1. Classic Italian Pizza has several white pies that I love. I can't remember what they're called and CIP annoyingly does not have a Web site, but the pizza makes up for it.

        And who could forget the biancoverde at Pizzeria Bianco?

          I actually have never had the biancoverde - I'm ashamed; the sonny boy is my standard, but I'm definitely trying that next time. I did see you mentioned CIP's white pizza on another thread as well, so I will add that to the list.

        2. Humble Pie has some good white pizzas. I really like the shrimp and burrata.

            Uncle Sam's has one sporting tomato, artichoke hearts, broccoli, and bacon. YUM.

          2. The white clam pie at Pizza Town (RIP) in Tempe was an unsurpassed award-winner. A couple of times a year I will splurge on a large white clam number from NYPD on 20th St, with either the roma tomatoes, or spinach, or both. It's even better re-heated, redolent of garlic, olive oil, and sweet lumps of ricotta.
