my homemade pizza sauce is too TART

I made a simple sauce by slowly simmering roma tomatoes and at the very end added olive oil infused with garlic. I've added salt to taste but I still think it's way too tart. It was a success the other time I made this but maybe it's the tomatoes?
Can you guys help me figure out a way to balance out the flavor?

  1. Tomatoes vary in acidity. To balance your sauce, add a touch of sugar or honey, stir, taste, and repeat as needed.

honey sounds great! very mild... thanks!

    2. A sprinkle of sugar to balance the acid.

      1. Finely grated carrot simmered to soften in the sauce will also do the trick.

If it's still too tart I'll take it off your hands since I like my sauce with a bit of an edge.)
