Butcher in south central NJ?

Can someone point me to a butcher in Monmouth, Middlesex, possibly Ocean counties or Franklyn area of Somerset county? Preferably along route 18? I have been looking for a long time, but found nothing. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

Saphira, I asked a similar question last year, but for a different part of central Jersey. Have a look at the following discussion. There are a few suggestions that might work for you.

I third the German Butcher...definitely worth the trip. Bring a cooler and stock up! :)

I would strongly recommend The German Butcher in Forked River (maybe Lacey). A little pricey but very good quality and they also carry some gourmet-ish type foods and excellent apple dumplings.

Thank you HungryRubia. Any other suggestions? I will look into it, but this is about 1 hour away from me in the direction I normally do not travel. Thanks

I can second that recommendation. The German Butcher is on Lacey Rd in Forked River, and it is very good.
