Have you ever been to the Kettle? It certainly qualifies as kid friendly, (and it's open 24/7 just in case the kid is up in the middle of the night and gets hungry.

Uncle Bills Pancake House.. My 10 year old and I ride our bikes there all the time for breakfast. Extremely kid friendy and good food as well.. A staple for Manhattan Beach Families for many, many years..
