It's soft shell crab season, has anyone had some good ones in the Northern Westchester area, or actually Westchester/Putnam in general. Looking for sauteed with garlic perhaps, but open to other sauces. Thanks

I saw a sign in the window at Hajime in Harrison (267 Halstead Ave.) that they have jumbo soft shell crabs. I haven't been by recently but one of my favorite places for soft shell crab is the sandwich June & Ho (in Rye, Purchase St.) makes on grainy bread-- heaven!

Absolutely:

Contes Main Street and St Marks Place Mt. Kisco. You can either buy them in the market and cook them yourself or order them in the restaurant. Been eating them there for years.

I had a soft shell crab wrap as a lunch special on a Thursday at City Limits in White Plains that was awesome. Crispy flavorful crab in a spinach wrap with avacado, creamy mayo and veggies. It was so good! My local chinese delivery also does it nicely in garlic or ginger sauce this time of year. Most do. Soft shell crab francese at Pizza & Brew in Hartsdale was soggy though, unfortunately.

Human Ritz on North Ave in New Rochelle. Just realized the question was for Northern Westchester. I used to live in Cortlandt Manor and the Chinese there also delivered soft shell crabs but I don't remember what place it was. I also had them once at Charlie Browns near CVS in Mohegan Lake and they were so-so.
