Anyone been to Lagenda? How does it compare to the Malaysian student canteen others have written about (also in Bayswater) in here?

Thanks for the info.

I'm still trying to find a really good Malaysian place in London, and was told to avoid this place.

Reviews here are pretty mixed: http://www.london-eating.co.uk/4800.htm

I wouldn't bother placing any weight on the comments you read at London Eating. The opinion on offer has rarely matched my own experiences and often you can find views split right down the middle. Last year I also found recent reviews for a restaurant that had closed a year or more earlier.

The good Malaysian places in London are Satay House and Bonda Cafe - both are close to Paddington/Edgware Road.

I don't pay too much attention to the reviews on London Eating, but I've not always found them to be inaccurate. If closed restaurants are getting reviews, you might consider emailing to let them know as it's virtually impossible to keep up with all the restaurant closures in the UK.

Thanks for the Malaysian reccs - are there any dishes in particular that you'd recommend at Satay House?

Unfortunately I've found the Chinese and Malaysian restaurant reviews to be consistently inaccurate or unhelpful (i.e. split down the middle as I said), hence the need to exercise caution.

As far as Satay House is concerned, I'd recommend absolutely anything - I've never eaten a dud dish there.
