Bomboloni are Da Bomb
What's with the spread of bombolini across the city? I've had them recently at A Voce, Gusto, Perilla, Belcourt, al di la and Falai Bakery. I read that Sullivan Street Bakery is also making them. Not that I'm complaining.
They are indeed delicious. I like the ones at Stanton Social, at Sullivan St., and at the dessert truck (if they're not out of season there).
Just had the Dessert truck's version: 3 (for $5) warm, sugary cinnamon coated bombs filled with vanilla cream that puts Beard Papa's cream puff filling to shame. Yummo!
