Fresh Korean BBQ - Van Nuys

I had dinner here with my family tonight it is in the same center as the Greenland Market. We have the AYCE option its 18.99 per adult and 4.99 for two of my kids and free for the two year old. You have 13 types of meat to choose from including five different beefs and 1 chicken and the rest pork or intestines. We had the unseasoned beef, the short ribs, tongue, seasoned beef, stomach and chicken. Overall the food was pretty good we were all pretty satisfied considering my wife had earlier wanted to drive to soot bull jeep from Sherman Oaks. This was a good local option. The Panchans are a little weak though only five and fairly bland. We will definitely add this place to our family roster.

  1. Is it as good as Pine Tree on Reseda in Northridge?

Has anyone tried Pine Tree for dinner, because I've only had lunch there and the meat is pre-cooked, but very nice.

Also, I want to find the spicy bean curd that's served at Soot Bull Jeep in Koreatown -- does anyone know what the Korean word for it is, and if they have it at the Greenland market in Van Nuys?

Greenland has spicy tofu (along with a pretty good selection of other dishes) lthough I have no idea if it's as good as Soot Bull Jeep as I've never eaten there. I like Greenland's though.

I found Pine Tree kind of bland compared to Fresh Korean BBQ. I love this place, I try to recommend it to whoever I talk to. It's so good!
