Company Party - Where should we eat???

I'm looking for a place to hold a company party. I need a place that can hold 200 people for a sit down dinner. Ideally space would work for a dinner and dancing sort of thing. My budget is $35-$40 a person. I'm open to anywhere in Los Angeles, but the SFV valley would be a plus. Any ideas?

Some friends that I am working with now said they had a nice company party at the Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach overlooking the marina. I believe they had the upstairs to themselves, away from the main restaurant. They said it was a very nice evening and their budget was $40 pp.

does that budget of $35-$40/pp include service charge (which is not necessarily the same as tip), beverages (soft drinks, coffee), tax, tip?
when you say 'sit down' do you mean waiter service or would buffet food work as long as there were tables at which people could sit?

to be honest, your budget seems to me, to be inadequate for what you are hoping to find. i'd be interested to know if you actually suceed in finding a sit down dinner for that number of people for that amount of money,

Yes, ideally that budget would include it all. I could do buffet too. I've done company parties before at this budget, but with smaller groups - last year it was about 125 - company grew, so I need something for a bigger group.

I'm not a big fan of the food, but quite a few companies hold their events at The Sportmen's Lodge. It's in the SFV, and I'm quite sure they can hold 200 people and work within your budget.

Thanks Omakase. I actully checked out the Lodge a few weeks back, it just wasn't right, I'm looking for something a bit nicer or newer - or a bit newer and nicer.
I've also looked at the Skirball (way over my budget) and a few country clubs in Tarzana, I'll keep looking.
