Anybody know where to get a good one?

I heard Spice King on Comm. Ave has them.
Anywhere good in Chinatown?

Whoa! They make shakes out of these things? I think even Bear Grylls would pass on one. You folks have some adventurous taste buds

Not bad actually. From a can most likely so not as pungent. The ice must dull the smell.

Mittapheap, 877 Western Ave, Lynn MA 781-477-6045.

I forget the name of the well-loved bahn mi place in the Comm Ave Super 88 food court, but you can get one there. Dunno if it's good-in-style, because I've only tried the one.

Pho Pasteur in Chinatown has them. Avoid ordering one "to go." Once I ordered one to go and proceeded to go shopping in Downtown. I actually got booted out of one store. How Andrew Zimmern can eat tree worms but not durian escapes me.

              What? Really?
The stink can't be as powerful as the fruit, can it?

I think most places throw frozen durian into the blender, so yes, the shake will be as overwhelming as the fruit. You might not notice the raunchy smell - but the people around you will.

Floating Rock in Revere has one too, if you're up that way.

Practically every Vietnamese restaurant will carry durian smoothie.

When visiting Uni at Clio early on, Ken O himself, talked us into and made us a durian shake. It was delicious and great experience.

I have no idea whether it's something they always have or if he was experimenting
