Req. for Cactus Cafe experiences - Stowe VT
Specifically I'm trying to find out about Cactus Cafe in Stowe and if anyone's eaten there recently, and what their experience was (a search showed a couple of comments about it that were kinda old). It's a bit of a drive for us to go there, but I'll go if it's worth it, so I'm just trying to see what folks here think about it.
I'd especially like to know about their chiles rellenos (did I spell that right?), if you've had them.

Years ago, from what I had been told, the Cactus Café was the worse of the two Mexican Restaurants in Stowe (Miguel's Stowe Away being the best)...when I had to choose between the two, I went with Miguels. Which is now, of course, closed...but I do remember the Cactus Cafe having been up for sale a while back, so perhaps the new owners have stepped it up a notch.

We just ate there over the weekend and miele94 hit the nail right on the head.
The food was excellent,the service outstanding,and the place clean as a whistle!
She had their special(and loved it;I can't remember what it was however) and I had the tostada which was excellent as always.
You won't go wrong here at all!

Is this Tex/Mex or Mex fusion? I've not heard of it. There is a Mexican restaurant in the Stowe area called Dos Amigos or something like that. Bruno and I ate there once and that was the end of that.
If you try it, please report back. I'd love to hear more about it.

Make the trip, you will be happy you did. I don't know about their chile rellenos but everything on the menu is good. Their specials are especially good. The other night we had a tuna steak that was on a tostada with black beans and it was excellent. The service is always friendly and efficient.
