stuck here for 2 days - any good chow finds near the airport?? good chinese/ethnic food maybe? TIA

Martin's BBQ is a great Puerto Rican place in Semoran, a couple of miles south of the airport. They do roast chickens, lots of pork, and a great mofongo. Its directly behind a starbucks, in a strip mall.

I leave an hour early when I fly, just to stop at Martin's

That would be North of the airport. Semoran does not run south of the airport.

It's south of my house. And I don't live at the airport.

There are mostly chains by the airport, but Martin's is at least different than most, and it's really really good.

There's also a good sushi place in a small strip center on that end of Semoran, kind of near Carmax, called . . . Tokyo? I think. The jaguar roll is good.

Hemisphere located at the Hyatt in the airport is good fine dining.

Awww, Orlando isn't that bad. I can think of worse places to be stuck;o) Good to see you like Chinese because the only restaurant I know near that area is...

Thanks for the rec!! Sorry to sound down on Orlando - didn't mean to sound that way, it is just that I'll be away from home on business during the weekend LOL Ususally being stuck near an airport means DINING DEATH LOL I'll def try this place!

Sorry, just saw your replies today. Did you get to try it? What did you think? I got the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce when I went there. Next time you're stuck here, I'll be happy to pick you up and go get some real food over in Dr. Phillips, LOL! There's an awesome Sushi place called Bonsai over there. :o)
