Skirt Steak: Willow Grove-Warrington area

Where can I find skirt steak? I usually shop at the Genuardi's in Roslyn or Maple Glen, but they do not carry it. We do a lot of Mexican cooking, so it's something I would like to be able to get on a regular basis.

They regularly have skirt steak at Georges Shop N Bag in
Dresher I dont think they have it at Wegmans or Trader joes
They usually have it at Whole Fooda
I like the flavor of skirt steak better than flank and is is cheaper

Have you tried flank steak as a good alternative?

Yes I have. Flank steak used to be a very economical cut of meat, but it has become so popular that the price has risen quite a bit. My dad, who has long since passed on & would be in his late 90's were he still alive, used to marinate it in either a home-made teryaki-style marinade, or a concoction he put together with beer. Both were excellent.

It's a little further down, but I know the Whole Food in Jenkintown has it. I haven't looked, but it's a good bet that Wegmans in Warrington has it too.

Thanks. Both Jenkintown and Warrington are fine. I'd make the short trip to buy a bunch and freeze it. You can never have enough skirt steak now that it's cookout season. I like the Mexican way of cooking it as carne asada, along with grilled whole green onions. Have you found any place that carries tri-tip? It's used regionally for BBQ, and is amazing. I got some last summer from Genuardi's, but they haven't had it since.
