Buying Shellfish around Chandler/Mesa/Tempe

I’m hosting a dinner party this weekend and want to try an indoor clambake. Any suggestions on where to buy reliable shellfish in the Chandler/Mesa/Tempe area? I’m hoping for a less expensive alternative to AJ’s or Whole Foods. Has anyone tried Lee-Lee’s for shellfish? Any other suggestions?

We've had good luck with the clams at Ranch 99 (not really in your neck of the woods, but worth the trip) at the Chinese Cultural Center. They also usually have pretty good mussels. Bring an ice chest

The Cultural Center is pretty close to my office so that may actually work well. Thanks for the suggestion.

I like Costco for clams, shrimp, mussels, etc. I think they have their seafood cart set up most everyday.

I have bought lobster tails, U-6 shrimp, and scallops from the "seafood roadshow" at the scottsdale location. Always been very pleased.....

I've been pleased with crab I've bought at LeeLee. Havne't tried any clams. The shrimp at Sprouts has always been good as well, but again haven't tried clams there.

I consistently get -very- nice, very inexpensive shrimp at the Ranch Market on Arizona/Ray. You might give them a try.
