Good Italian in Culver City?

  • 9

Any recs for good Italian in Culver City? I've found Ugo to be hit or miss, and haven't tried anything else yet as I'm new to the area.

I third it! :) I LOVE their pumpkin ravioli! And their cozy restaurant and excellent service! Nice and romantic.

    1. Brunello Trattoria, on Washington. Had a special, linguine w/ softshell crab, very very nicely done! Wines are expensive, $9 by the glass across the board, for house stuff; IIRC the bottles were on the high side for what they were.

      1. Not familiar with CC but in Marina Del Rey there's C&O on Washington Blvd. There's actually two locations close to eachother. The one closer to the beach is fairly priced and the wine flows like water for cheap.

        1. If you want someplace extremely casual, Victor Jr.'s on the north side of Washington across from the studio. The patio tables can be very nice this time of year. Excellent eggplant parm and chopped Italian salad, good meatball subs, generously topped pizzas. Only open weekdays, order at counter and served at table, very friendly.

          1. Giovanni's at Clarrington and Venice in a little stripmall. The food is excellent, the prices great, does a big lunch business from Sony. All of the pastas are escellent, the chicken piallard is great, it's all great!

            1. What about Novecento's on Main St. in Culver City? It's small but we found the food authentic.

              1. Second Brunello. There are already two threads going for it at the moment.
