The Gelato inside Bellagio is by far the best (I have tried several others incl Venetian). In addition to near the greenhouse, there is another location at the the rear near the pool entrance, and one near the corner of Strip and Flamingo at the level where you enter from the fountains. My favorite is the coconut gelato.

>Delicious sugar-free gelato availableHad sugar-free gelato from the St. Mark's Square shop couple of weeks ago and it was really good, so good that my wife informed me that when we go back to Vegas in November we HAVE to cruise by the Venetian one more time to get it again.

Well, unless you like regular soft serve, avoid Luv-It Frozen Custard. That guy has never been to Missouri, for sure or he'd know what custard really is!
It's not far from the Strip if you're driving, but I wouldn't pay for a cab to get to it, but there's a Sheridan's Frozen Custard on Eastern a few miles south of 215. It's no Andy's Frozen Custard, but it's pretty good. Uses Ross freezers, so it's the real deal.
Also, there's a cool new place called Create Gourmet Burgers and Frozen Custard on Tenaya and Lake Mead (just about two blocks west of 95). This place is incredible! I need to do a full review, but everything there is just amazing. Also uses Ross freezers.
If you have a car, I would definitely take the 15 minutes to drive to Create!

re: LaserGecko
There is also a new place called frozen aces up FT Apache right off of tropicana and 215. It sells real fruit ice(just like water ice back in Philly where i'm from) and they also have a gelati. They have about 7-8 flavors each day. A gelati is your favorite fruit ice layered with vanilla custard. Its really good and I haven't seen anything else like it in Vegas. There number is 702-220-7786. Prices are very reasonable I think I paid $3 for a large fruit ice.

re: LaserGecko
Damn....I work a couple of days a week very near to the corner of Tenaya and Lake Mead, and today saw Create and thought to myself "maybe I should stop there for lunch." But somehow I never made it.......Now I have a treat to look forward to on Monday! Thanks!
To the OP: If you do want to stick to places on the strip, I concur with the Bellagio recommendation. It is pricey, however......I guess that's to be expected for the Bellagio...

Luv-It knows frozen custard. They've been there 37 years. Teo blocks from the Stratosphere.

There is a good gelato place inside the Bellagio... down the side near the art museum and the atrium.
