Sumac & Israeli Couscous on O'ahu?

Hello!

I've been hopping around the Middle East for the past year, and I'm missing the cuisine. Would any of you know where I may find sumac or Israeli couscous here on O'ahu?

I remember that the King St. Star Market used to have Israeli couscous around their deli area, but I couldn't find any when I checked last week. As for sumac... I don't even know where to start looking.

Any help, please? :)

A 2010 update. Foodland Farms in Aina Haina sells dry Israeli couscous. The Indian grocery store -- forget the name -- at Isenberg and Beretania sells Lebanese-style zaatar. You can order sumac from Amazon.com. This is the Indian grocery that used to be in Moiliili.

I just saw the Israeli couscous in the ASAP counter at Downtown (HiSAM) today. If all else fails you could call them and see if they have a source.

I recently bought a bag of Israeli couscous from R.Fields in Kailua, but it was being closed out so I don't think they are stocking it any longer. You might give the R.Fields in the Foodland on Beretania a call. As for sumac, I've always bought mine on the mainland, but you could probably get it through the mail from Penzey's. Also, have you looked for either at the Indian grocery store in Moilili?
