Cozy Italian for Sunday night
Taking a friend for a birthday dinner on Sunday. Her favorite cuisine is Italian.
Was going to Irene's but they are closed on Sundays. Other than Tommys, what is your rec for traditional Italian, with a NOLA flair? We will be catching up after not seeing each other for a long time, so a quiet, cozy atmosphere is preferred. Thank you.

Good list edible complex. I vote for eleven 79. Bacco could be cozy if you get seated in the front room near the bar. Cafe giovanni would be good on the nights they have live music which. I have not been to tony Angelo's since they reopened, but I am glad to hear people have enjoyed themselves there.

I second Tony Angello's. I took my husband there for his birthday and our table did the "Feed Me", which is a chef's tasting of 7-8 suprise small entrees. Every course was great. Tell them it's her birthday, they do something funny!
