Spiced Pear - Newport

Has anyone been here for dinner since the start of the summer season? We're thinking of making a reservation for late June. Have never been, but if I understand the reviews over the years, it's had its ups and downs. Don't want to spend that much $$$ until I've heard positive comments from '08.

I've had lunch there, view was great, pretty restaurant, I thought the food was just okay. If I had a choice, for a nice dinner experiance, I'd choose Restaurant Bouchard instead. We actually love to go to Spiced Pear for an after dinner drink.
