Bronzetti's in Framingham

Anyone have a recent review of the newly re-located Bronzetti's Pizza on Route 9 in Framingham. Is this REAL thin crust and Sicilian pizza ? I'm hearing very good things.

  1. went to bronzetti's saturday night. started with a caesar salad, it was big enough to easily split between two and was very good, not a lot of dressing, nice croutons and fresh romaine. there were four of us, 2 adults, 2 kids so we ordered two pizzas, probably could have got away with one. they are sicilian style. both were very good. good size, one cheese the other half pepperoni, half meatball, nice thick crust but crunchy on the bottom. i would have no problem recommending this place.

I'm planning on going tomorrow. Is it still in the Econo Lodge?

its right off of rte 9 (eastbound side) just east of the intersection with 126

After a first visit my sense is that this is a pizza better eaten scroching hot at the restaurant rather than as take-out.

Hurm, it's across Route 9 from Sichuan Gourmet...behind the computer repair shop which used to be a Japanese restaurant. Abiout 2 miles east of the EconoLodge.

Thanks, looking forward to trying it.

For me this was very good bar pizza. Growing up in NY this isn't the really thick sicilian that I remember. This is a rectangular pie with a slightly thicker than normal thin crust and just a little more crust at the edge. It was tasty, with a good sauce. I wouldn't make a trip for it but if I were in the area I'd go back (though I'd probably go to Sichuan Gourmet across the street instead).

      3. For those of you who remember the Union House restauarant, the pizza from Bronzettis uses the same recipe

          çool...How do you know that?

I'd heard it from a few people around town, which prompted my visit. Our waitress told us that the owner is related to the former owner of the Union House. I think the pizza is great!

        2. Well...we just went and I would say that it is decent, but not necessarily a place to bring the kids. The salads were basic, with iceberg and some mealy pale tomatoes. The dressing was decent. Garlic bread had a layer of oil and some garlic powder. The eggplant parmag. consisted of layers of breaded eggplant and one layer of cheese on spaghetti. The pizza actually didn't have much cheese and was more of a light pan style. Good, but not addictive. My chicken marsala (a special) was the best-rich, garlicy, dark sauce over ziti and very light, moist chicken. However, the restaurant is quite small and the bar is attached. In our case, this meant that when a large party who had a few drinks, set down, their voices carried to everyone. And since they were talking about their weekend escapades that including swearing, it wasn't a great atmosphere for our children! Finally, when people went outside to smoke, the smoke wafted right back into the restaurant. Granted, our waitress said something to the party, who moved back to the bar area, but we could still hear them. Decent food, but will I go back....probably not.

Agree completely...went again last week and I just find it somewhat dark and depressing...especially with the bar stuffed in the restaurant section...It seems like a misplacesd sushi bar...which it probably was in its previous life. I had very high hopes for great pizza. I've moved across the street now to testing the new Paparazzi.

Where across the street is the new Paparazzi? Thanks

Over by Wal-Mart where Bennigans used to be... new design and a great take out section separate from the main restaurant. Just opened last Thursday.
