Chocolate Chip Pancakes in DC area

I am looking for good chocolate chip pancakes served anywhere metro-accessible in the DC area. I don't like IHOP's version with the chocolate batter, and many places won't put chocolate chips in the batter, only on top. What's up with that? Anyway, any recommendations?

Bar Pilar on 14th and T has amazing malt chocolate chip pancakes. i also recommend The Hangover Cure: busciuts, sausage gravy, home fries, cheese eggs, sirracha and ketchup. also everything there is housemade and super fresh!

I noticed them on the brunch menu at Black Squirrel (on 18th in Adams Morgan) yesterday. Didn't end up eating there, so haven't tried them, but the food there is really good, so would be worth a try I'm sure.

Tryst has choc chip waffles, fyi (in the batter)

Does anyone know if the Black Squirrel still serves brunch?

Not DC-but Tasty Diner in Bethesda has excellent ones. I love the Market ones, too.

The IHOP by us (in Gaithersburg) serves chocolate chip pancakes in regular batter. I get them for the kids (have never had them myself). Can't speak to taste/quality other than to just say they are mixed in with the regular (non-chocolate) batter.

Try Steak & Egg Kitchen near the Tenleytown Metro. They have chocolate chip pancakes or better yet, chocolate chip waffles which you can get with a scoop of ice cream on top of.

I 2nd this. That place is DELICIOUS! I've had the pumpking alone (didn't even know they come with chocolate chips...I bet that's great) and they were great.

I think Market Lunch has chocolate pancakes on the weekend but I would double check that.

This is a great topic since I'm a huge fan of chocolate chip pancakes (I was only allowed them as a kid when I visited my Grandparents in Chicago so they have good memories. If you ever find yourself in the Chicago burbs check out Walker Brothers Pancake House..mmmmmm)

Market Lunch has good chocolate chip pancakes, but I believe they are only available for breakfast, which just fyi they don't serve on Sunday.
