Wawel Wow

Stumbled on a very cute, tidy and well stocked Polish Patisserie on rue St Marc off Sherbrook. Great jelly donuts, poppy seed pastries made with excellent yeast dough. Very reasonably priced. So good we brought a box of goodies back to NYC.

I went to the one on Ontario (metro Frontenac), and I know this is not their specialty or anything, but their ice cream was actually quite horrible. I got two flavours, and both were very bland with an unpleasant texture, and quite expensive for what it was.

For a traditional pole ( I am of polish descent)- the prune ones are the ONLY ones that count.

Glad you found the little gem, because (especially that branch) is a little bit hidden. I also think this branch is better than the one on Jean Talon, the paczkis I get from there always taste fresher.

I hope you had some prune filled ones. They are the best.
