21st birthday - need downtown trendy restaurant please help!!
ok I need so more help. I really liked Stanton Social but they are also booked for the night i want. Pretty much all I need is a really fun, great atmosphere and decor, pretty good food, if they have a price fixed group dining menu that’s a plus but not important at all. I just need to have a lot of fun, be loud and make a scene. So everything most people don't want in a restaurant I want, loud, trendy, full of beautiful people and completely over the top. Please help me out!!

I am celebrating my 21st birthday and I want to celebrate at a Trendy NYC restaurant. I was hoping for Spice Market but they are completely booked for the night I wanted... So now I am struggling to find something else. I was hoping for the meatpacking area but if anyone has other suggestions I'll take them. I did Tao last year so I was trying to stay away from Buddha Bar and things exactly like Tao. I want something big, very trendy, and with amazing decor. The food should be good but I am more concerned with the atmosphere. So let me know any good suggestions!
Thanks so much!

I celebrated my 23rd birthday at Pipa and it was great. Great atmosphere, decent food, and nice decor with chandeliers and small warm lights everywhere. Tapas are wonderful for sharing, and sangria passed around the table is fun and festive. I mean, I don't know how trendy of a restaurant you're going for - Pipa's been open a few years but it was a good choice for a party of 20-somethings.
For another birthday, we went to Sushi Samba and I asked the waiter to keep the price to around $50 per person and bring us whatever she thought was good. That turned out to be a hit - each dish was a surprise and was thoughtfully picked, there was no hassle, and we hit my budget perfectly.

Buddakan is trendy and actual has decent food, but I guess not best option since you dont want to do asian.
Maybe STK then?
Bacaro is also surprisingly trendy, but in a more low-key hipster way, not the sex and the city feel i'm guessing you're looking for. still, the decor downstairs is incredible.
