Whole bunch of summer menus:

There should be a whole bunch of menus on the above website but I guess all the chefs/managers are too busy in this slack season to come up with a menu. Over half the places have coming soon on their sites and the specials are supposed to begin today. Typical New Orleans timing

Just got a note from Morton's Steakhouse about their 3 course dinner for 2 for $99 thru Sept. 30th.
You may have to go online to print the coupon or mention the special when booking.

Morton's has been offering this since before Valentine's Day. Be forewarned re: COOLinary menus. Check each rest. restrictions. Some are valid only a few days per week, many not on Sat.

Morton's must have just extended it, as they previously advertised that it ended 6/30/08.

edible, have you been to Melange? Their COOLinary menu looks good.

just looked at their menu and it does look good. but I think they may have it listed backwards; the site I looked at reported lunch $30 and dinner $20, hmmm.
had dinner there one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chef Matt Murphy was cooking then and was quite delightful. he may still be there (thought I read so) the cheeses for desert with the Edmeades Petite Syrah were the most memorable.
we closed the place down and then went to hear Jeremy Davenport. great evening.

i thought the same so i went in one nite to ask for it, but the hostess had never heard of it. did not stay.

While the COOLinary menus seem like a bargain, many selections don't appeal to me. I'd prefer to order from the regular menu and pay a bit more for something I'm more apt to enjoy.

I'm coming down next week and love some of the coolinary menus. We'll be trying Bacco and Pelican Club for dinner and Cuvee and 7 on fulton for lunch! I loooove bbq shrimps!

I am not a fan of 7 on Fulton and find Bacco to be a second tier rest, merely ok foodwise. Cuvee is a treat. Don't miss the shrimp remoulade napoleon app. Baccos' bbque shrimp is good, not great. Just my 2 cents.
