For a Father's Day meal, with kids, I also think Dinosaur BBQ is likely your best option. Their bbq wings are terrific. Likewise, I've had good fried green tomatoes. Unfortunately, some of their bbq has been hit or miss. Great beer selection.

For best bbq in the city I think I vote for Daisy May's.

Daisy May's might have better BBQ, but I do think that Dinosaur is the much better overall place. Well not much better as Daisy May's is so damn good, but one gets the point.

For my money, Dinosaur is the best bbq in the city. But the wait can be killer.

The wait can be crazy, but the food's amazing...just make sure you make a reservation.

Dinosaur. Great atmosphere, great food. Although there are other places you could go to also. Any location parameters?

We went to Wildwood and thought it was fantastic. I think it would be fine w/kids. The food was great.

Another vote for Dinosaur if you can make it up to 125th St. If you're staying in Manhattan, I'd recommend Blue Smoke, Daisy May's, Hill Country or RUB.

Sorry chocolatefancy, I think that all five of those make better BBQ than Wildwood.

Any of the six would be fine for kids.

Since when has 125th street not been Manhattan?

Hmmm I have no explanation for that. Mea culpa.
