chocolate banana bread pudding

I found a recipe for chocolate banana bread pudding. Have the ripened bananas, the chocolate, and the egg bread.

Can someone give me an idea of how long the bread should be soaked for? I'm not a fan of bread pudding. Maybe it's about texture for me. Just wanted to make this for someone who loves the combination of chocolate with bananas.

Thank you.

  1. How nice of you! I think that how long you soak it depends on how soft and moist your bread is. If it's an egg bread, and not stale or toasted, even 20 minutes should take care of it. You can even test it - pick one piece out and squeeze it. Does it seem like a soaked sponge? If so, it's ready.

But what kind of texture do you like? If you like a difference between the custard and the bread, don't soak it long. If you like it all to be smoother, then soak it like crazy, an hour or more.

How nice of you to make it for your someone!

I just wanted to say thank you. found that the egg bread, because of how stale it was, took a lot of soaking.

I ate some and found it delicious. I usually hate the idea of soggy anything but the texture of the bread really helped.

Thank you so much for your comments.
