Pink Lady apples in CT?
On our trip down south last week I tried a pink lady apple and it was so sweet, almost like eating candy! Does anyone in CT grow this variety? Or can I buy them anywhere? Thanks, Richie

Whole Foods generally has the Pink Lady, and at this time of year, they often come from Chile or Australia, where it's apple season. The stuff you get now in most stores that's grown in the States has been in storage for a while. If you like Pink Lady, make sure you get your hands on HoneyCrisp in the fall. They don't store well, and they're only available at the beginning of the apple harvest. Outstandingly crisp and delicious!

Thanks for the head's up. jfood bought a couple today at Scotts Market in Pound Ridge (1/2 mile outside New Canaan) and they were oustanding. Big flavor, half sweet/tart and a nice dense texture.
Jfood has these on the list with Fuji as his current go-to apple. need to go to greenwich produce tomorrow and will check there as well.
thanks again
