Classic Sundae?
I am looking for the real-deal / old school / classic hot fudge sundae. Served in a glass, not in styrofoam, with real fudge, peanuts, and whipped cream that doesn't taste like air.
Fosselman's is tasty but comes in styrofoam.
It's OK if the place is a sit down restaurant and not a ice cream shop.
This is centered on the East side of LA but I will travel to the Westside if necessary for this.
Thanks.

The Tam O'Shanter in Los Feilz has CC Brown's sundaes. CC Brown's invented the hot fudge sundae in 1906. That's where I'd go. Look and drool:

Twohey's in Alhambra - though it comes with toasted almonds rather than peanuts. Try the hot dark chocolate fudge! Served in a lovely glass with a long-handled spoon.

re: bluemonster
Fourth Twohey's! Especially since they'll put any ice-cream flavor you want into any ice-cream dessert you order, meaning you can get hot fudge over chocolate. Add the real whipped cream and the cherry, and that is DESSERT!
And I don't really understand the hate they get for their other food here, frankly. It's by no means outstanding, but I've always found it better than edible.

Fair Oaks Pharmacy ... and the best part is that it comes with Fosselman's ice cream.

re: Jack Flash
Down the street (Mission) there's Buster's and they serve Fosselman's. Haven't had a sundae there in years so can't remember if they offered it in a glass or not. Maybe they do since you can get coffee in a mug.
Looking quickly at Fair Oaks Pharmacy's menu and interesting they charge 75 cents for a 2 cent plain???
