    1. Are you going to have a car or do you want to eat only on the Strip? There are a lot of very good restaurants off of the Strip. Two places on the Strip in your price range are Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris and Cafe Baba Reba at the Fashion Show Mall for tapas.

Mon Ami Gai, according to Harrahs' website, is $25 to $40 for entrees.

Here is the link to their menus. Dinner entrees range from $16.95 to $29.95.

There's no link, but I saw up to $40 on the link that aaronling posted.

        2. uhhh McDonalds? Ok seriously Border Grill is good at Mandalay and the chips and green salsa are so good you don't need appetizers. When you leave out italian and asian its hard all you are probably going to get from me is mexican suggestions and thats my top one. You could hit the chains that exist on the strip but the question is do you really want to? I mean you could slum it and do Ellis Island BBQ, 7.77 special at the Hard Rock Coffee Shop for steak and shrimp that you have to ask for etc. If you want a nice meal outside the asian, italian and chain route on the strip your going to have to fork over some cash.

I don't think the OP ever mentioned he wanted to restrict the quest to the Strip. Even on the Strip, most non-steak entrees are under 30 bucks.
