Best BBQ Caterer/Casual Food/Atlanta

maroper May 31, 2008 03:43 PM

Doing a wedding rehearsal dinner in Newnan in November. Atlanta is about 40 miles north of Newnan but I am hoping I can get the dinner catered by a restaurant in Atlanta. Am thinking along the lines of BBQ but it can be anything as long as it is casual. Bride and Groom do not want a formal dinner.

Unfortunately, the company we used is no longer in business, but we had low country boil for our rehersal dinner in Peachtree City. Our second choice was a BBQ place on HWY 54 or 74 (its been awhile since I've been there) out towards Coweta County. It was something Pig, I think. Anyways, great food and reasonable prices five years ago.

Low Country BBQ does a great job with catering as does Dusty's BBQ off Clairmont. Don't know if either travels outside the Atlanta area?? I've also used Shane's BBQ, but people either love it or hate it (we like it) and it's a franchise, so you might find one closer down there.

My Mom has used Pig n Chik for meetings of 20-30 people in the past. Not sure how much of a "full-service" catering job they do. I've been to a few things for work where Williamson Bros. fed 100+ hungry construction workers.

Sam n' Daves might cater too.
