Differences in taste on dried chili peppers?

I am wondering if I can sub dried ancho chili peppers for dried New Mexico peppers? Looking in the pantry thats all I have, along with a pack of dried chili Negro. I was planning on using them in the braisng sauce for a slow cooked pork shoulder to be shredded for tacos.

Yes, they are a tad bit sweeter with a little smoke. They will work beautifully. YUM.
